In a sign of how big the virtual sex industry is likely going to become, the domain name SexVR.com sold for over $11,000 this week. That makes it the most expensive VR domain name sale yet, beating the $10,000 figure that was paid for VRxxx.com earlier this year.
Meanwhile, rest assured that vr porn and virtual sex ARE coming to the Oculus Rift, despite headlines this week claiming that Facebook were going to block porn from the device. Those media reports told us nothing new – VR porn apps will be prohibited from the official Oculus store, as expected, but Facebook have no intention to block vr porn played on the device straight from a PC. You can already buy vr porn videos that play on the developer kit Oculus (via your pc) at VirtualRealPorn.com
The makers of RealDoll, luxury sex dolls, yesterday announced that it is working on creating sex bots that they hope to start selling in the near future. The sex bots will be identical to their high-end ultra-realistic dolls, with the added feature of being able to move their faces, heads, blink and even talk.
Matt McMullen is credited with inventing the RealDoll, a life-size, customizable and completely poseable love doll presumably for lonely people with asthma. He told the New York Times he’s currently working on a more animated doll that he hopes will have more human-like movements and even audible responses — because if your sex partner is a simulated person, you’re clearly a master communicator.
McMullen calls his project Realbotix and he’s hired a team of robotic engineers from Hanson Robotics, a company that has produced some impressive humanoid robots such as the conversational, expression-reading humanoid named Han that made its debut in April.
He’s also working on giving his new sex-bot its own artificial intelligence so it can respond to questions and statements while it’s batting its eyes or making kissy faces at its living love master.
Tiny4K.com is one of the first 4K ultra-hd porn sites, and the very first to focus exclusively upon beautiful, tight, nubile teenage girls in hardcore sex action.

Although the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset still hasn’t been officially released (although thousands of ‘developer kits’ have been sold), a number of adult websites have already sprung up with content available to download for the device. One such is a British company called Veiviev that has put demos of its interactive porn game on to Vine. The software allows Oculus Rift users to touch the breasts of models, with the titties moving in a realistic way in response to how and where.
Sales of virtual reality headset devices are expected to explode in the next 5 years, with up to 25 million predicted to be sold in the year 2020, and sales doubling each year until then to reach that total. The claim was made in a report published this week by Business Insider magazine.
Last year Facbook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, which earlier spent over a billion dollars acquiring the Oculus VR company, had predicted that he expects sales of the device to reach 100 million units within 10 years.
“It’s hard to predict exactly,” he said, “but I don’t think it’s going to get to 50 million or 100 million units in the next few years. That will take a few cycles of the device to get there and that’s kind of what I’m talking about.
“And then when you get to that scale, that’s when it starts to be interesting as a business in terms of developing out the ecosystem. So when I’m talking about that as a 10-year thing, its building the first set of devices and building the audience and the ecosystem around that until it eventually becomes a business.”
When Virtual Reality finally arrives, you can be sure that virtual sex and porn will quickly follow with it, if not actually drive its mainstream adoption in the manner of VHS video and even, some say, the internet. However, there might be obstacles on the path to VR Sex heaven. For example, the VR headset manufacturers may take a dim view of their devices being used for porn and may even take steps to make such use difficult, especially if the public are whipped into a moral panic with lurid tales of teenagers becoming addicted to ultra-realistic virtual worlds of smut and filth. Despite these possible problems down the road, there are already commercial porn sites catering for the Oculus Rift alone, with the device still in development and owned by Facebook, not know for its tolerance of porn (unlike its support for gore and beheading videos).

It was exciting news last week for those of us who want to finally see holographic porn arrive on the market.
Amazon released a teasing trailor of its new mystery product to be announced on June 18th that appeared to confirm that the phone will feature 3D holograms. These likely won’t be ‘true’ holograms that actually float in space, but rather something that gives the illusion of a 3D hologram. Using four different eye and head tracking front cameras on the phone, it is likely Amazon’s product will shift the image in the display to create the illusion of the three dimensional object appearing behind the screen. It is not yet known if the phone will also feature stereoscopic 3D tech.
Meanwhile, true holographic phones, which actually re-create the light pattern of the original object and project it beyond the screen of the phone, look to be arriving as early as the end of the next year.
Real holograms, that float as 3D images in the air, are finally here. The company that’s made the breakthrough, Ostendo, has created a hologram with its 5,000ppi projectors that it plans to fit into smartphones in the second half of 2015.
The hologram is created using six projectors that layer light to create an image floating in the air, like a real solid object.
The discovery has come from fusing an image processor with a wafer of micro LEDs to create the Quantum Photonic Imager. The end result is a projector that’s about the size of a Tic Tac powered by the chip which controls the colour, brightness and angle of each beam of light.
